All the details of the South Coast Gathering held in Amanzimtoti.

Who said too many cooks spoil the broth - in this case it definitely seems that many hands make pipes work. Tom, Justin and Chris help sort out one of St Andrews' piper

Tania sporting the latest Try Fly tenor sticks apparently the helicopter was not as effective as originally anticipated.

Even Mr and Mrs Merrick popped by to see the bands only to be surprised by the appearance of the Vaughanholio.

Notice the look of surprise...

I haven't seen someone this excited to play with the band in years!

Quite the opposite to seeing young Robbie in his unusually unexcited state. Come on Bob, it cant be that bad.

At this stage of the game we thought we were still on for a trip to Scotland but yet again some other unforeseen military stumbling block managed to position itself squarely in our path.. maybe we should aim for 2020? I guess the SA Tattoo in JHB is going to have to make up for it. Oh yes and Mike's wedding.

Andre auditioning for a role in the tv show Friends trying out his impression of "Smell the fart" acting.

If you see this guy tell him he is about 2 months late for band practice.

Brandon looking suitably cocky on his way to the competition circle. The grade 4 band has made some good progress this year with the addition of a few guys from NMR.

Peter and Carlos looking anxious with Justin squatting nearby - apparently trying to clean their shoes - it had nothing to do with competition nerves.

Dangerous Dr Dour Dave decides dutifully to doing due diligence judging the drumming.

....... right....

Congratulations to Ian for his first performance with the grade 3 band and Just-in for his first set with the grade 4s!

Well done guys!

All in all it was a great day that saw the 1Med grade 3s take the overall prize.

It's great to have the site up and running and I will try to get the Pretoria story out before we play Benoni.

Thanks to Clive King for all your hard work!
