After 3 consecutive Champions of Champions Titles in Grade 3 the Durban based band takes the step up in to play against the big boys! It took some serious paper work and justification for some or other reason but 1 Med has got the upgrade to SA's premium grade. This is what some of the band members had to say: "Very excited, I think we have really worked hard for this and now we have even more work to do to make a place for ourselves in this grade." said Wayne Smythe. "I totally blasted my pecs this morning", Matt "Boomer" Smythe. "Aaargh Thomas, does this mean we need to learn more tunes", Mike Esterhuyse. "177 kW!", Brad Boxall "Just happy from KZN’s and our perspective that we have made the step, while I feel we have a long way to go we can at least challenge ourselves against the next level of bands and hopefully progress as an overall outfit and the bonus for this year at least is that we don’t have to wake up so early in the morning anymore to get there on time… ", Tom Fuller |
